The main adult role at EFC is leading a small group of middle school campers.
You wouldn’t be alone as the “Extreme Team” (High School leaders who have been trained) will be called on to lead the small group.
You will be the authority figure of the group making sure the needs of the campers are being met, offering support and guidance to the Extreme Team and in group discussions, keeping track of the small group during transitions, knowing their general whereabouts during free times, offering support to the youth minister during disciplinary situations, making sure students are getting to bed and getting up at the listed times, and other similar responsibilities.
During Extreme Faith Camp, your first priority is to your small group and making sure they are being taken care of, and then assisting the youth minister(s) in what is needed to help the camp run smoothly.
Prayer Team.
During Extreme Faith Camp, 9th graders are off doing their own thing on Prayer Team. This is the year where they intercede in prayer for the whole camp as well as being formed in the spiritual life and being formed as a leader.
Adult leaders will assist the youth minister in charge of Prayer Team with whatever he/she needs as far as set-up, tear-down, and other practical things for Prayer Team and EFC to run smoothly.
Adult leaders will also offer support, prayer, and guidance to those on Prayer Team as they are going through this process of deepening their spiritual life. They will be given a small group to have discussions throughout the week.
Adult leaders will offer support to the Prayer Team Lead and youth minister during any disciplinary situations.
